High School Graduation Requirements

Students must successfully earn a minimum of 24 credits to graduate (22.5 credits in Nevada) and also pass state tests where required. Be sure to check with your school for specific details.

The course credits required to graduate include*:

• Language Arts: 4 or 4.5 credits
• Math: 3 credits (2 of the 3 credits must be Algebra and Geometry)
• Science: 2 or 3 credits (typically 2 credits must be in Biology and Physical Science)
• Social Studies: 3 or 3.5 credits
• Physical Education: 1 or 2 credits
• Health: 1 credit
• Technology: 0.5 or 1 credit
• Humanities: 1 or 2 credits
• Electives: Additional credits of electives may berequired
